Root barriers are needed to secure roots and force them to grow downwards. Our root barrier is 1mm thick and suitable to line a trench or an individual tree. It will force the roots vertically to depths of 60 or 100cm before these spread laterally. For surrounds, simply line the edge of the tree pit and then overlap the material by 30cm, securing front and back with our root barrier joining tape. Our root barriers are available in 30cm, 60cm and 1m sizes.
Joining tape is required to root proof any joints in the root barrier. The tape is 10cm wide, extra strong and extremely adhesive. To use effectively, the barrier should overlap at least 30cm and should be taped on both front and back joints. Joining tape is available to purchase as a 10m roll.
