Malus Rudolph Crab Apple Rudolph

Malus 'Rudolph' is a popular crab apple tree that initially forms an upright shape, then becoms rounded. This compact tree has copper-red new shoots, that age to bronze green. It produces an abundance of purplish-pink flowers in May followed by orange-yellow oblong fruits persisting on the tree into winter. Ultimate height 5-7m. Resistant to scab. Prefers a sunny site and moist well drained soil. Not suitable for coastal site.
