Company History
The company began in 1919 as The English Forestry Association with offices and a nursery near Reading, Berks. At that time the company business was forestry management but since then the company grew to become a leader in forestry management and contracting and more recently a major national landscape contractor. In 1992 the company's Burrow Nursery became a separate independent company, now operating as English Woodlands.
The nursery now has clients throughout the UK and supplies not only forest trees but also specimen trees, shrubs and conifers and a wide range of specialist tree planting accessories for professional landscapers.
The company's client list includes many local authorities, landscape contractors, architects, farmers, estates, developers, golf clubs, schools and colleges, private individuals and garden designers.
